Information the site does not collect
The current static website does not create user accounts, accept newsletter registrations, run analytics, serve advertising, place marketing pixels, collect location, or receive quiz and pathway data on a server. There is no public comment system, forum, or child-data form.
Local browser storage
Optional features use local storage on the visitor’s device. These can include a selected learning pathway, progress, interests, duration, child curriculum level and progress, saved articles, saved Daily Insights, glossary terms, symbols, blog posts, quiz results, recent pages, recent searches, and a Daily Insight streak. This data stays in the browser unless the user separately exports, prints, or shares something.
The site remains readable when storage is unavailable. A global “Clear My Saved Data” control removes the Hinduism Insights local-storage namespace from that browser.
Search and quizzes
Recent search phrases and quiz results may be stored locally to improve the visitor’s own experience. They are not transmitted to Hinduism Insights. Visitors should not enter sensitive personal information into search fields; the search tool is a local content finder, not a private message service.
Daily Insight and RSS
Favorites and streak data remain local. Copy and share controls use browser capabilities initiated by the visitor. The static RSS feed can be requested by a feed reader, but Hinduism Insights does not receive personal profile data from the feed itself.
External fonts
Pages load Source Serif 4, Inter, and Noto Sans Devanagari from Google Fonts when the browser allows it. This causes the browser to connect to Google’s font servers, which receive ordinary network request information such as IP address and browser headers. System fallbacks remain available if external fonts are blocked.
Email links and external websites
Mail links open the visitor’s own email application. Any message is sent only when the visitor chooses to send it and is then handled by the visitor’s and recipient’s email providers. External publisher, museum, government, or institutional links are governed by those sites’ privacy practices.
Children and teens
Child and teen pages do not ask visitors to create accounts, submit names, upload photos, share location, post public scores, or contact strangers. They contain no advertising or affiliate calls to action.
Future services
If analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, or email delivery is introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before activation. No such service is implied by a future-facing policy page.
